This utility is called WHATDATE but you should think of it in this
syntax
WHATDATE WAS x DAYS AGO
Where the x is a whole number from 1 to whatever you're looking for
Using a julian base as the starting point, WHATDATE determines the
julian value of today. Your x value is then subtracted from that
base and is then converted back into a date format. In this
application, the julian base is where 1=January 1st, 1900
The program is a command line utility designed to be run in batch
files (or from the DOS line). It will output results to the screen
but they can just as easily be redirected to a file
WHATDATE requires a minimum of one parameter which represents the
number of days to subtract or add
usage: WHATDATE <days_ago> [switches
Where days_ago is the number of days from whatever your system
thinks today is
e.g., WHATDATE -1 would tell you the date yesterday
