  1. This utility is called WHATDATE but you should think of it in this
  2. syntax
  3. WHATDATE WAS x DAYS AGO
  4. Where the x is a whole number from 1 to whatever you're looking for
  5. Using a julian base as the starting point, WHATDATE determines the
  6. julian value of today.  Your x value is then subtracted from that
  7. base and is then converted back into a date format.  In this
  8. application, the julian base is where 1=January 1st, 1900
  9. The program is a command line utility designed to be run in batch
  10. files (or from the DOS line).  It will output results to the screen
  11. but they can just as easily be redirected to a file
  12. WHATDATE requires a minimum of one parameter which represents the
  13. number of days to subtract or add
  14. usage:  WHATDATE <days_ago> [switches
  15. Where days_ago is the number of days from whatever your system
  16. thinks today is
  17. e.g.,  WHATDATE -1 would tell you the date yesterday
  18. Registration:  None
  19. This is one of the 100+ utilities included with DATALINKS a
  20. server-based alpha page application.  If you are looking to send
  21. alpha pages from your network or from a stand-alone modem, please
  22. check out a copy of DATALINKS.  It's really some cool stuff ... and
  23. it works darn well
  24. POWERLINK is the Windows version that is delivered to you custom
  25. configured with your name/company information embedded within.  If
  26. you carry an alpha pager -- you really should take a look at
  27. POWERLINK. It's a heck of a great way for YOU to generate more
  28. business with your pager
